Your facts are wrong. The Zito signing was not on Brian Sabean. It was Peter Magowan that wanted the deal to go through. it was out of desperation. Remember the Giants were turned down by Gary Mathews, Soriano and Carlos Lee. Magowan has gone on record saying that the Zito deal was a mistake. So cut Sabean some slack. I still have not and never will forgive Sabean for dealing Nathan Liriano and Bonzer, If that deal doesn't happen then the Giants don't have to suffer through another horrible signing in Armando Benetiez. The down fall of the club started with the offseason after the 2002 world series. Letting Jeff Kent go and not going after Vlad Guerrero.

Liz, you're absolutely right that the average person has nothing to do with blogging; however I think it's because they're slow to adopt technological/social changes rather than having being "too busy with life." A lot of blogs I read are work-related; I couldn't compete effectively without them. The suburbs took forever to even get broadband; they'll get there eventually.

Just a reminder that most folks in the U.S. (and everyone I seem to know but myself) don't visit any blogs and all and aren't part of the blogosphere. It's a self-referential group...nothing wrong with that, I just don't think the typical American spends more than 10 minutes (if that) reading blogs. It's just that the people who are into them are REALLY into them and read dozens. That's my impression out here in the 'burbs. Most people are too busy with life.

Congratulations to all the above. Making a name blogging is hard work. Right now we're tied up getting our network and apps to launch but soon we'll hit the post button on our blog more often as well. Any tips what you'd like us to cover in the area of helping small businesses to grow smart? Leave a comment on blog.smibs.com
